SkyRC iMAX B6 is a quick charger with a high performance microprocessor and specialized operating software.
Optimized Operating Software
iMAX B6 features an AUTO function that sets the feeding current during the process of charging/discharging. For Lithium batteries, this function can prevent explosion from overcharging due to improper setting. Circuit will be disconnected and alarm initiated automatically when any malfunction is detected. All the programs of this product can be controlled through two way communication, achieving maximum safety and minimizing any trouble. The settings can be configured by the user.
Internal Independent Lithium Battery Balancer
iMAX B6 employs an individual-cell-voltage balancer. It is unnecessary to connect an external balancer for balance charging.
Individual Cell Balancing
IMAX B6 can monitor and balance individual cell of the battery during the process of discharging. An error message will pop up and the process will be terminated automatically if the voltage of any single one cell is abnormal.
Adaptable to Various Types
of Lithium Battery
iMAX B6 is adaptable to various types of Lithium batteries, such as Li-Ion, LiPo and the new LiFe series of batteries.
"Storage" Mode of Lithium Battery
Purposes to charge Lithium battery vary from each other. "Fast" charge reduces the charging time while "Storage" is able to control the final battery voltage. This is good for long term storage of battery and extending its service life.
Delta-peak sensitivity: The automatic charge termination program is based on the Delta-peak voltage detection system. When the battery voltage exceeds the threshold, the process will be terminated automatically.
Automatic Charging Current
Upper limit of the charge current can be set when charging NiCd or NiMH batteries, which is useful for NiMH batteries of low impedance and capacity in the 'AUTO' charging mode.
Internal chemical reaction of the battery may cause the temperature to rise during charging. When the preset temperature limit is reached, the charging process will be terminated. This function is available by connecting an optional temperature probe, which is not included in the package.
Processing Time Limit:
The user can set the maximum charging time in advance. If the charging time exceeds the preset limit, the process will be terminated automatically.
Up to five battery data can be stored for your convenience. You can set the charging/discharging parameters for a particular battery type and call up the settings at any time without any special procedures.
Batteries can be set to charge/discharge for up to 5 cycles if needed.
